2008 - Southern California Top Comp Rules
- Basic NHRA Top Dragster/Sportsman rules will be applied.

Eliminations-
Must make at least 1 qualifying run to be put on the eliminations ladder.

Refunds-
If you stage your car in qualifying, there is NO entry fee refunds and you will be put on the eliminations ladder; however if you break down
before then you are in entitled to a full refund.

Entry fees-
$125.00 cash or check must pay entry fee before Qualifying.

Car Counts -
- We will use a 64 car field. Any type car and body allowed.
- All cars that do not run quicker than 8.19 (8.29 in Vegas) will be able to run, but must dial in at the lowest ET, 8.19 (8.29 in Vegas),
There will be no DNQ's.

Lane choice-
The quicker qualified car will have lane choice through out eliminations.

Points-
We will be using the NHRA sportsman points system.
Best 8 out of 11 races for the Championship.
A year end 10 bonus points for each race after 9 races entered.
10 points = 9 races
20 points= 10 races
30 points = 11 races

Ties -
Incase there is a tie for the Championship(only) the tie breakers are as follows in that same order:
- Amount of wins in head to head competition
- Amount of events competed
- Compete in a run off (if possible)

Power adders -
Nitrous Oxide allowed as per NHRA rules. NO Nitromethane or get an OK from the track.

Cars Quicker than 7.50 -
Cars running quicker than 7.50 need at least an Advanced E.T. license and chassis Cerf.

Dial in-
You cannot dial in (down) .20 slower than your quickest qualifying ET, the slowest dial in is 8.19 regardless of qualifying ET, Can dial in (up) quicker. The quickest dial in is 6.00.
Remember it's the driver and/or crew member's duty to make sure the dial in is correct before you stage, if you stage the car and the posted dial in is wrong, this means you have accepted that dial in as your correct dial in.

Cancelled races-
If there is cancelled race due to the weather, track conditions or any other reason; will receive 10 points.
